Welcome to Penn State in Southwestern Pennsylvania! We’re happy you’re here to learn more about our five vibrant campuses, each located within an hour of Pittsburgh. Dedicated to our land grant mission of teaching, research, and service, Penn State Beaver, Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, Penn State Greater Allegheny, Penn State New Kensington, and Penn State Shenango, are here to support you as you embark on your higher education journey.

EXPLORE PENN STATE BEAVER

Located on a beautiful 100-acre campus, Penn State Beaver offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in a close-knit community while exploring various academic programs, organizations, and athletics.

Life at Penn State Beaver:

  • Nine bachelor’s degrees.
  • Fifteen student clubs and organizations.
  • Seven varsity sports.
  • On-campus housing.
  • 550 student average enrollment from thirty states and ten countries.

EXPLORE PENN STATE FAYETTE

Surrounded by mountains and located in the Laurel Highlands, Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus offers students a peaceful environment close to all the action. About an hour from Pittsburgh and set in a rural area, students at the Fayette campus get the best of both worlds.

The Fayette campus offers:

  • Fourteen bachelor’s and associate degrees.
  • Fifteen student clubs and organizations.
  • Nine varsity sports.
  • Convenient, private off-campus housing.
  • 450 student average enrollment with 47 percent first-generation. 

EXPLORE PENN STATE GREATER ALLEGHENY

Penn State Greater Allegheny is located in Allegheny County, home to more than 32,000 Penn State alumni. Just 15 miles from Pittsburgh, students benefit from small classes, research and honors programs, and a Digital Fluency Project that provides free iPads to all students.

The Greater Allegheny campus offers:

  • Thirteen bachelor’s and associate degrees.
  • Nineteen student clubs and organizations.
  • Six varsity sports.
  • On-campus housing.
  • 420 student average enrollment with 45 percent first-generation.

EXPLORE PENN STATE NEW KENSINGTON

Situated less than an hour north of Pittsburgh, Penn State New Kensington offers students a welcoming community, endless connections, access to the campus’ innovation hubs the Digital Foundry at New Kensington and Corner Launchbox and exclusive learning opportunities like the G.R.E.A.T. Program and campus Honors Program. The New Kensington campus is made for those looking to get involved, be innovative, and make an impact.

The New Kensington campus offers:

  • Fifteen bachelor’s and associate degrees.
  • Fifteen student clubs and organizations.
  • Six varsity sports.
  • Convenient, private off-campus housing.
  • And an average enrollment of 500 students from 17 states.

EXPLORE PENN STATE SHENANGO

Penn State Shenango is our westernmost campus in the state. Work one-on-one with faculty, develop leadership skills through athletics and campus organizations, and be connected to a close-knit campus community.

The Shenango campus offers:

  • Fourteen bachelor’s and associate degrees.
  • Ten student clubs and organizations.
  • Five varsity sports.
  • Convenient, private off-campus housing.
  • 300 student average enrollment.

2+2 PLAN

Penn State knows affordability and flexibility are important. Our 2+2 plan. allows students to start at a campus close to home, save money on tuition, and ultimately shape the college experience that works best for them. Students start their Penn State studies at the campus of their choice, and then transition to the campus where their major completes at the end of their second year.

CONSIDERING DUAL ENROLLMENT?

Interested in taking college courses while in high school? Participate in Penn State’s dual enrollment program to get a jump start on your college career! High school juniors and seniors can take one or two courses a semester on a Penn State campus with other Penn State students and learn from our world-renowned faculty. We’ll even cut the cost of tuition in half!
